Sondra Wampler Wall Art

Sondra Wampler passion for drawing changed at the age of 16 years when she was given an old family camera for personal use. She decided to venture into photography at such a young age. In 1982, she completed a Commercial Photography Program from Santa Monica College. At first, she worked in the photography advertisement industry only to return to fine art later on. Through her photography work, she had been exposed to different lifestyles that acted as inspiration. It is why most of her creative pieces are seen as a contemplative observation of nature. Her first public showing was at the Oakland Museum when she was nine years old. This created the foundation for her love for drawing. Sondra’s artwork gives a unique fusion of natural environment and manmade lighting to create impressive drawings. Over the years, she has created prints, posters, and drawings that have been featured in a number of galleries across the country. Her work stands out as unique based on her style and design techniques. Lately, Sondra has been working on a different type of imagery that has given a unique touch to her artworks. She believes it is time to use the modern methods to create impressive art that people would appreciate. Most of her works now depict animals as a way to appreciate them and create awareness about their beauty and importance. Sondra has won several awards through her works. She won a juried art fair award in 2014, earning First Place, New Media, Beverly Hills Art Show. Some other awards that she has won are Graphics Photo Annual (2005); Best In Category, Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival (2013); and Best of Show, Downers Grove Art Festival (2011).
