Nancy Wiseman Wall Art

Nancy Wiseman is a classically trained artist who takes her inspiration from nature and the objects that surround her. The way light falls on her collection of antique objects combined with fresh flowers or fruit gives her continuous inspiration for endless paintings. She resides in the quiet countryside of Felton, PA. Nancy trained in the style of the Dutch Old Masters. Her sensitivity to form and light has given her works much clarity. It is her many years as a teacher and as painter that has resulted in this contemporary realism. She developed her style while studying with instructors from Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore. Nancy has held the position of Vice President of The Charcoal Club of Baltimore for many years. The club that was organized in 1883 is the second oldest art club in the United States. Nancy Wiseman is a member of The Oil Painters of America, the International Guild of Realism, and The Baltimore Watercolor Society.

Using Maroger paint medium and the time-tested method of grinding pigments by herself gives her paintings vibrant and rich hues with the crispness of fine detail. Nancy’s work has been exhibited at solo and group shows in both Pennsylvania and Maryland. She is represented by Applejack Publishing, PM Design Group Inc., and Bentley Publishing among others. She has won the “Award of Excellence” from the York Art Association and her work has been translated into floor and wall coverings, poster art, and is distributed throughout Europe and the US.
