Heather Ramsey Art Prints

Heather Ramsey was born in San Diego, California, and grew up just a bike ride away from the beach. She received her B.F.A. in illustration at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California, and also studied art at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. While attending Art Center, Ramsey was fortunate to study under some influential teachers. Burne Bogarth, well known for illustrating Tarzan, taught her how to really see. Joel Nakamura, an award-winning freelance illustrator, was another prominent influence. Classic inspirations include Modigliani, Degas, Picasso, Schiele and Kahlo. Ramsey has received numerous scholarships and awards, including the Silver Award at The Creative Show in San Diego, the College Women's Club of Pasadena award, the Ebell of Los Angeles and the Palomar College Award.
