Frank Schott Wall Art

Frank Schott (Born in 1962) was born in Cologne, Germany. He currently lives and works in San Francisco. He has been taking photographs since he was 15, capturing influential musicians and the iconic punk bands of the 80s. His images have an iconic sensibility and give the viewers a bird's eye view onto humanity and its constructs. He attended the prestigious Academy of Arts in Cologne. He studied under Professor Arno Jansen, who was an early influence. Schott moved to California in 1998, and since then his work has evolved to include conceptual, architectural and more formal environments from his travels and home as well as the epic landscapes of the American West. His art has been recognized in Communication Arts, AP-American Photography, 200 Best Photographers, PDN, Lurzers Archive, and other industry publications.

Schott's images have successfully blended conceptual, technical and formal rigor with a decisive sense of color, texture and composition. His work is influenced by a number of photographic precursors and piers such as Massimo Vitali, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Gregory Crewdson, Jeff Wall, Andreas Gursky, and Candida HoĢˆfer. In his art, the specific is always edged towards the abstract, revealing the disjunctive and compelling moment where man meets nature. His clients include, Acura, Apple, AT&T, Audi, BMW, Bayer, Citibank, Ford, GE, Chrysler, Honda, Google, SBC, Saturn, Infiniti, IBM, HP, Mitsubishi, Mercedes Benz, Land Rover, Pontiac, Nissan, Peterbilt, among others. Schott continues to collaborate with European clients as well as agencies in Asia and the United States on advertising projects worldwide.
